Mathias Jattah-Njie Jorgensen, popularly known as Zanka, is a Danish professional footballer who currently plays for Premier League club Brentford and the Denmark national team.
Jorgensen began his career at boyhood club FC Copenhagen, where he played consistently in five Superliga seasons before moving to PSV Eindhoven in 2012, where he spent two seasons in the Eredivisie before returning to Denmark after his opportunities were limited. In July 2017, he signed for Premier League team Huddersfield Town for a price of £3.5 million, where he remained until their relegation in 2019. He later played for Fenerbahçe before returning to the Premier League with Brentford in 2021.
Jorgensen, who had previously represented Denmark at the under-16, under-17, under-18, and under-21 levels, made his senior international debut for Denmark at the age of 18 in November 2008.
Zanka was an Arsenal fan when he was younger. Thierry Henry is his all-time favourite footballer. He would have worked as a lobbyist or spin doctor if he wasn’t a professional football player.
