Serge David Gnabry is a professional footballer who plays as a striker (winger) for the Bundesliga club Bayern Munich and the Germany national team. He was born in Stuttgart, Baden-Württemberg, Germany, to an Ivorian father and a German mother.
Gnabry joined FC Bayern from Werder Bremen in 2017 and was loaned out to TSG 1899 Hoffenheim for his first year. Since 2018 he’s been an established member of FC Bayern’s squad.
Gnabry left his home of Stuttgart in 2011 to move to England and Arsenal, where he developed into a professional and also had a loan spell at West Bromwich Albion. He won the sextuple with Bayern in 2020. He was voted FC Bayern Player of the Season in his first season in 2018/19.
At the international level, Gnabry has represented Germany at various youth levels, including at under-16, -17, -18, -19 and -21 levels. In July 2016, he was selected for the German Olympic squad at the 2016 Summer Olympics.
In November 2016, Gnabry received his first call-up to the German national senior team. A few days later, he scored three goals on his debut in a 2018 World Cup qualifier against San Marino in an 8–0 win.
