Additional Info
Luke Anthony Freeman is a Premier League footballer who currently plays for Luton Town. He can play as both a midfielder and a winger.
Freeman began his career at Charlton Athletic before moving on to Gillingham at the age of 11. He made his first-team debut for Gillingham at the age of 15, becoming the FA Cup’s youngest player ever. Freeman joined Arsenal in January 2008, where he featured consistently for the club’s under-18 and reserve levels. Freeman joined Yeovil Town on loan ahead of the 2010-11 season and stayed until December 2010. When his loan period expired, he returned to his parent club and signed a new deal in April 2011. In November 2011, he was loaned out again, this time to League One team Stevenage for a month and a half. Freeman played frequently for Stevenage while on loan, and he signed a permanent deal with the club in January 2012.
After three seasons at Stevenage, where he was named Player of the Year in 2013-14, Freeman joined Bristol City in June 2014. During his debut season with the club, he helped the club win the Football League Trophy and League One. Freeman played for Bristol City for two and a half years before joining Queens Park Rangers, also in the Championship, for an unknown fee in January 2017. For the 2018-19 season, he was voted the club’s Player of the Year. In July 2019, Freeman agreed to terms with newly promoted Premier League club Sheffield United for a club-record price. He was on loan at Nottingham Forest for the 2020-21 season.
On 4 July 2022, Freeman joined Luton Town following his release from Sheffield United.
