Nélson Cabral Semedo is a Portuguese professional footballer who plays right back for Wolverhampton Wanderers in the Premier League and for the Portugal national team.
Semedo started his career with Sintrense before moving on to Benfica in 2012. After a season on loan at Fátima, he made his Benfica B debut before making his first-team debut in 2015 and went on to win back-to-back Primeira Liga titles, among other accolades. He joined Barcelona in July 2017 and won La Liga in his first two seasons of a three-year contract. Semedo signed a three-year contract with Wolverhampton Wanderers in September 2020 (with a two-year extension option).
Semedo made his senior debut for Portugal in October 2015, and he went on to represent the country in the 2017 FIFA Confederations Cup, the 2019 UEFA Nations League Finals, and UEFA Euro 2020, which he won on home soil.
