Rodrigo Hernández Cascante, popularly referred to as “Rodri,” signed with City in July 4, 2019.
The 23-year-old Spanish midfielder, formerly of Atletico Madrid, joined as Pep Guardiola’s second summer addition.
The defensively focused midfielder is most comfortable in the centre of the back four, where Rodri has established himself as one of Europe’s most promising young players.
Rodrigo proved to be an inspiration in City’s midfield, working tirelessly as City fought for another English title. And his tenacity in the centre of City’s team paid off, assisting us in winning the English Premier League trophy for a record-breaking third time in 2022–203.
