Jorge Luiz Frello Filho, officially known as Jorginho, is a professional footballer who plays as a midfielder for Premier League club Arsenal and the Italy national team. He can either play as a deep-lying playmaker or a defensive midfielder. He was born in Imbituba, Brazil.
He started his career in the youth academy at Italian club Verona, with his senior debut coming on loan at Serie C2 club Sambonifacese in 2010/11.
Jorginho signed for Arsenal in January 2023 on a one-and-a-half-year contract with the option of a further year for a transfer fee of £12 million.
Further, Jorginho is a dual citizen of Italy and Brazil, and he’s eligible to play for either country’s national team.
