Victor Jörgen Nilsson Lindelöf is a Swedish professional footballer who plays as a defender for Manchester United in the Premier League and captains the Sweden national team. He is primarily a center-back, but he can also play right-back and defensive midfielder.
Lindelöf began his career at Västers SK in Sweden, making his debut in October 2009. He agreed to join Benfica in Portugal in December 2011, starting to represent the club at the youth and B levels. After making his first-team debut in September 2013, he went on to play for the club at the B level and the senior level, earning three Primeira Liga titles in the process. In July 2017, he joined Manchester United.
Lindelöf has represented Sweden at all levels, including under-17, under-19, under-21, and senior. He was a member of the winning UEFA European Under-21 Championship squad in 2015. In March 2016, he earned his senior international debut, and he has since represented his country at UEFA Euro 2016, the 2018 FIFA World Cup, and UEFA Euro 2020.
