Sancho, a former Watford and Manchester City youth player earned his first senior deal with Borussia Dortmund in 2017. He established himself as a first-team regular in his second season and was chosen to the 2018-19 Bundesliga Team of the Season. Sancho earned his first trophy ahead of the 2019-20 season with a DFL-Supercup triumph over Bayern Munich. In 2019, he finished second in both the Golden Boy and the Kopa Trophy competitions.
