Donny van de Beek is a Dutch professional footballer who currently plays for Manchester United in the Premier League.
He joined the Ajax Academy in 2008. Van de Beek made his competitive debut for the club against Celtic in the UEFA Europa League in 2015. Ajax reached the Europa League Final in 2016-17 but was defeated by Manchester United.
Van van Beek established himself as a vital player in Ajax’s starting eleven during the 2017-18 season. Van de Beek was named to the Ballon d’Or shortlist following the 2018-19 season, in which Ajax reached the UEFA Champions League semi-finals. He won the Eredivisie, the KNVB Cup, and the Johan Cruyff Shield with Ajax. Van de Beek will join Premier League team Manchester United on August 30, 2020.
Van de Beek appeared in almost 40 youth international games for the Netherlands, ranging from under-17 to under-21. He made his senior international debut against Romania in November 2017.
