Everton announced the signing of Doucouré on September 8, 2020.

Doucouré made his debut against Tottenham Hotspur on September 13, 2020, in Everton’s first game of the 2020-21 season. Doucouré scored his first goal for Everton with a stunning header in a 3-2 Premier League away win over Fulham on November 22, 2020.

Everton stated in May 2023 that the club had exercised the option to extend Doucoure’s contract until the end of June 2024.
