Andre Gomes joined Everton from Barcelona in a £22 million deal in June 2019, after impressing during a season-long loan from the Catalan giants in 2018/19.
Gomes’ first season as a permanent Everton player was cut short by a devastating ankle injury suffered in an early November 2019 game against Tottenham Hotspur.
The Portuguese exceeded expectations by returning in less than four months and concluded the season with 20 appearances, all bar one in the Premier League.
In the following season, he appeared in 32 matches, starting 21 of them.
