Darwin Núñez joined Premier League club Liverpool on 13 June 2022 from Benfica and scored 48 goals in 85 appearances for them during two seasons.
Nez scored four goals in forty minutes against RB Leipzig in a pre-season friendly on July 21. Nez made his competitive debut for Liverpool in a 3-1 win over Manchester City in the FA Community Shield at the King Power Stadium on July 30.
