Diego Carlos started his professional career with Desportivo Brasil. In September 2012, he signed for São Paulo, playing for their B-Team. Later, he signed for Paulista and Madureira for loan spells.
Diego Carlos became an Aston Villa player in June 2022. The Brazilian joined after a successful stint in Spain with Sevilla, where he became a Europa League champion. Also, he made his name at Estoril and Nantes before his move to Spain.
