Ezri Ngoyo Konsa is a professional footballer who plays as a central defender for Premier League club Aston Villa. He was born in Newham, England, to a Congolese (DRC) father and an Angolan mother. He is also eligible for Portuguese citizenship.
Konsa started his career with Senrab and joined Charlton Athletic at the age of 11. He rose through the ranks at Charlton, making 86 appearances for the Addicks before moving across to Brentford. He has also been capped by England at Under-20 and Under-21 level.
After Aston Villa’s promotion back to the Premier League in 2019, Dean Smith signed Konsa from his former club Brentford. He made his debut for the club in the Carabao Cup against Crewe Alexandra in August 2019.
