At the age of 20, Riedewald participated in 82 minutes of the 2017 Europa League final after graduating from Ajax’s renowned academy.
He evolved into a Palace fan favourite and had his best football season in 20/21. His first goal in the red and blue came in October 2020 against Fulham, and his second came in February 2021 against Newcastle United with a piledriver from 25 yards out. In February 2021, he was granted a contract extension that would keep him with the team through the end of 23/24.
