Additional Info

Mason Tony Mount is an English professional footballer who plays for the Premier League club Manchester United and the England national team as an attacking or center midfielder.

Mount began his senior club career with Chelsea before moving on to Vitesse and Derby County on loan between 2017 and 2019. In the years since, he has established himself as a key player for Chelsea, winning the UEFA Champions League, the UEFA Super Cup, and the FIFA Club World Cup in 2021. In the 2020-21 and 2021-22 seasons, he was voted Chelsea Player of the Year. Manchester United signed Mount in July 2023 for an initial cost of £55 million.

Mount and the England national under-19 team won the UEFA European Under-19 Championship in 2017. He earned his senior international debut in 2019, at the age of 20, and represented England at UEFA Euro 2020 and the FIFA World Cup in 2022.

Mason Mount signed up for the Chelsea Under-9 age division and has been training there since he was six.

He is primarily an attacking midfielder who can play all central midfield positions and is skilled at moving from one box to another.

Mount again began the 2022/23 season becoming present at all times for the Blues – for both Thomas Tuchel and his successor manager Graham Potter – starring in all 21 of our matches in every competition prior to the winter break for the World Cup, the only player who did so, and his 18 starts totaled the most of anyone at Chelsea.

Some of his best displays throughout that early part of the season occurred in the Champions League group stages. Under Potter, he contributed four goals and two assists in Chelsea’s five games, which includes both goals in their 2-0 away victory over AC Milan. This marked Chelsea’s first-ever win at the San Siro.

He was at his best in the middle of October when two Premier League games against teams from the Midlands took place between that trip to Italy. Mount contributed to two more goals in the first of those, helping Chelsea defeat Wolverhampton Wanderers 3-0 at Stamford Bridge. In the second, Mount scored both goals to help them defeat Aston Villa 2-0, giving him a remarkable four assists and two goals in three games.

He made his move to Manchester United from Chelsea on 5th July 2023.
