On July 13, 2022, English forward Raheem Sterling transferred from Manchester City to Chelsea and signed a five-year deal at Stamford Bridge.

Sterling is a direct dribbler who excels in any role in the front three or as a supporting striker. He torments defenders with a flawless blend of skill, pace and timing, either with the ball at his feet or with his powerful runs in behind.

The goal-scoring skills of the England international have produced remarkable results in recent campaigns, including 25 goals in 2021/22 as Man City defended their domestic title and advanced to the Champions League semifinals. Because of the forward’s skilled movement and perfect timing in the 18-yard box, most of his goals are scored from close range.

He became one of only eight players to have scored 80 or more Premier League goals since 2016/17 and before 2022/23. Over the previous five seasons, he averaged 22 goals across all competitions and a total of 10 assists.
