Fofana signed a three-year contract to join Saudi Arabian club Al Nassr on July 18, 2023, reportedly for a price tag of 25 million euros.

Due to the fact that his parents are from the Ivory Coast, Fofana was authorised to represent both countries. Fofana earlier represented France’s U-16, U-17, U-18, and U-19 teams. Fofana decided to represent his parents’ country, the Ivory Coast, on April 3, 2017.

Fofana’s first game for Ivory Coast was on November 11, 2017, when they played Morocco and lost 2-0.
