Boubacar Bernard Kamara is a professional footballer who plays as a central midfielder for Premier League club Aston Villa and the France national team. He was born in Marseille, France, to a Senegalese father and a French mother.

Kamara, then five years old, enrolled in France’s Olympique de Marseille Academy in September 2005 and quickly rose through the ranks.

Kamara joined Aston Villa in May 2022, signing a five-year deal after leaving Marseille. He made his Aston Villa debut when he started against Bournemouth on the opening day of the 2022/23 Premier League season.

Kamara was eligible to play for the national teams of France and Senegal due to his birth and family heritage, respectively. He represented France in youth football at the U17, U18, U19, U20, and U21 levels. He was finally called up to France’s first team in May of 2022.
