Christopher Paul Basham is an English professional footballer who plays for Premier League club Sheffield United as a defensive midfielder or centre defender. He is most recognised as a pioneer of the overlapping centre-back position (often on the right wing), which he established under Chris Wilder during the 2016-17 season.

He began his career as a junior with Newcastle United and went on to play for Bolton Wanderers, as well as loan spells at Stafford Rangers and Rochdale, before joining Blackpool in August 2010.
