Craig Dawson is an English defender, a centre-back known for his aerial strength and reliable, no-nonsense marking. Born in Rochdale on 6 May 1990, he rose from non-league Radcliffe Borough to Rochdale, where he scored 22 goals in 94 games, before a long stint at West Bromwich Albion from 2010. He later joined West Ham United, initially on loan from Watford in 2020 and then permanently, helping the Hammers reach a Europa League semi-final and lifting the 2023 UEFA Europa Conference League. In January 2023 he moved to Wolverhampton Wanderers for around £3.3 million, signing a two-and-a-half-year deal that ran until June 2025, on reported weekly wages of £45,000.
