Born in Amalfi, he came through the Colombian game with Águilas Doradas and Atlético Nacional, where he captained the side, before moving to Belgian club Genk in 2020 and establishing himself as one of the league’s most productive full-backs. Palace signed him from Genk in January 2024, and he quickly became a fixture at Selhurst Park, earning Player of the Match in the 2025 FA Cup final victory over Manchester City that delivered the club’s first major trophy. He added a UEFA Conference League winners’ medal in 2026 and has been a regular for Colombia, featuring in their run to the 2024 Copa América final.
