Dara O’Shea is an Irish defender and the current captain of Ipswich Town. Born in Dublin, he came through St Kevin’s Boys before joining West Bromwich Albion, where he developed through loan spells at Hereford and Exeter City and went on to make more than 100 appearances, earning the FAI Young Player of the Year award in 2020. After a season at Burnley, with whom he won promotion back to the Premier League in 2023-24, he signed for Ipswich in August 2024 on a long-term deal and was handed the captaincy in 2025.
