Fraser Gerard Forster is an English professional football custodian who currently plays for Premier League team Tottenham Hotspur.
Forster began his career with Newcastle United and spent time on loan with Stockport County and Bristol Rovers. He then enjoyed a successful loan season at Norwich City, where he helped the club win League One and promotion to the Championship. Forster subsequently went on loan to Celtic for the 2010-11 season, where he helped them win the Scottish Cup. He stayed on loan for another season, winning the Scottish Premier League, before becoming a permanent squad member in 2012 for a fee of £2.2 million.
Forster received numerous accolades for his achievements at Celtic, and he retains the Scottish top-flight record of 1,256 minutes without conceding a goal. He joined Southampton for a reported £10 million in August 2014. Forster had a solid initial season in the Premier League, but he suffered a catastrophic knee injury in March 2015 that sidelined him for the rest of the season.
