George Alexander Wickens had been a member of Fulham’s academy for several years before signing a two-year scholarship contract on July 1, 2018.

Not shortly after turning 16, he made his debut for the U18 squad in a 2-1 loss at home to Swansea City on December 20, 2017. Less than a year later, on 4 September 2018, George made his professional debut for the U23 squad in an EFL Trophy match away to Oxford United, coming off the bench to replace the red-carded Toni Stahl in a 3-0 loss.

On 12 August 2021, George was loaned out to National League Wealdstone for a season to get important experience and his first taste of senior football, and he was given their number-one shirt for the 2021-22 season.

He is presently a member of Fulham’s first team.
