Joined Real Betis in January 2020, spending four-and-a-half seasons and winning the Copa del Rey in 2022. Part of Argentina’s 2022 World Cup-winning squad, starting the group-stage win over Mexico. Won two Copa America medals with Argentina. Joined West Ham United on a free transfer in August 2024 after his Betis contract expired.
