About
James Shea is an English goalkeeper, currently a free agent after a long and decorated stint at Luton Town. Born in London on 16 June 1991, he came through the academy at Arsenal, where loan spells with Southampton and Dagenham & Redbridge preceded a release in 2013 that sent him into non-league football with Needham Market and Harrow Borough. Shea rebuilt his career at Luton after joining in July 2017, climbing all the way from League Two to the Premier League with the Hatters. He was named League One’s Golden Glove winner in 2018-19 after keeping 19 clean sheets, and finally made his top-flight debut on 19 May 2024 against Fulham.
