Dutch defender who spent his entire career at Feyenoord before joining RB Leipzig in summer 2025. Served as club captain under Arne Slot, who trusted him as his most-used player. Versatile player capable of operating as right-back, centre-back, left-back and defensive midfielder. Instrumental in Feyenoord’s 2022-23 Eredivisie title and KNVB Cup double, scoring nine goals in 47 appearances. Joined Sunderland on loan in September 2025.
