Martin Ødegaard is a professional Norwegian footballer who plays as a midfielder for Premier League club Arsenal and the Norway national team. He was born in Drammen, Norway.

In January 2021, Ødegaard joined Arsenal on loan until the end of the season. Following the loan, in August 2021, Arsenal officially announced the permanent signing of Ødegaard in a deal worth €35 million, with potential add-ons bringing the total to about €40 million.

Also, in 2022, following a successful first full season with Arsenal, he was named the club’s captain.
