Mo Salah began his professional career in the Egyptian Premier League with Al Mokawloon Al Arab in 2009-2010. He stayed with his local club for three years and performed admirably, paving the path for a move to the Swiss Super League. In 44 appearances for the Egyptian club, he scored 12 goals.

Salah joined Liverpool in 2017.  On August 12, he scored on his Premier League debut against Watford in a 3-3 draw. He scored his second goal for Liverpool in a 4-2 win (6-3 agg) over Hoffenheim in the 2017-18 UEFA Champions League play-off round on August 24, his first goal at Anfield.
