In January 2023, Mykhailo Mudryk completed his transfer from Shakhtar Donetsk to Chelsea.

A few weeks before signing his eight-and-a-half-year contract with the Blues, the Ukrainian international celebrated his 22 years birthday.

While playing for Shakhtar Donetsk, Mudryk established himself as one of the most lethal forwards in Europe in one-on-one situations. He is a skilled player with a lot of speed. He played both wings in Ukraine despite being mostly a wide player, but many of his best displays occurred when cutting in from the left onto his preferred right foot.
