In his first season at Vitality Stadium, veteran keeper Neto was instrumental in helping AFC Bournemouth maintain their Premier League status in 2022/23.

The Brazilian-born goalkeeper was named team captain in January of 2023 after six clean sheets in 27 league appearances.

Neto earned six senior national team caps for Brazil and contributed to the team’s silver medal performance at the 2012 Summer Olympics in England.
