Pape Matar Sarr is a professional footballer who plays as a defensive midfielder for Premier League club Tottenham Hotspur and the Senegal national team. He was born in Thiaroye, Senegal.

Sarr joined the Ligue 1 side Metz from the Generation Foot Academy in Senegal in September 2020. He joined Tottenham Hotspur in August 2021 from Metz.

Moreover, after joining Tottenham, he subsequently returned on loan to the Ligue 1 side Metz for the rest of the 2021/22 season, where he made 27 appearances.

On the international stage, Sarr has represented Senegal at Under-17 and senior levels. He made his senior international debut for Senegal in an Africa Cup of Nations qualifier against Congo in March 2021.

He was also part of the Senegal squad that won the Africa Cup of Nations in February 2022 and participated in the 2022 FIFA World Cup in Qatar.
