About
Ryan Alebiosu is an English-born defender, currently a free agent, who came through the academy ranks at Arsenal after joining the club as an eight-year-old in 2010. A powerful and versatile full-back equally comfortable at centre-back, he turned professional in 2020 and gained senior experience out on loan: he joined Crewe Alexandra in January 2022, making his EFL debut against Gillingham on 1 February that year, before a further loan spell at Scottish side Kilmarnock from July 2022. Although born in London and eligible for England, Alebiosu opted to represent Nigeria at youth international level. His Arsenal deal ran until June 2023, during which he was a reported £1,700 a week, modest terms reflecting his standing as a developing prospect on the fringe of the first team. He later moved on permanently in search of regular senior football.
