Tyrick Mitchell, who transferred from Brentford to the Palace Academy in 2016, made his professional debut in the summer of 2020 and quickly rose to prominence at Palace.

Early in 2021, he agreed to a contract extension through the summer of 2025, and thanks to his efforts in the 21/22 season, he received his first senior England call-up in March 2022. He made his international debut in a 2-1 victory over Switzerland.

In May 2021, Mitchell scored his first goal and provided an assist for the Eagles, who went on to defeat Aston Villa 3-2.
