About
Bafode Diakite is a French defender who plays for Bournemouth in the Premier League. A product of the Toulouse academy, he came through the youth ranks of his hometown club and made his professional debut as a 17-year-old in December 2018, helping Toulouse win promotion to Ligue 1 before moving to Lille in August 2022. Over three seasons there he developed into one of France’s most reliable central defenders, scoring 13 goals across 112 appearances and featuring in the Champions League.
