Biography
In January 2022, James Hill, an exciting young defender from Fleetwood Town, joined the team on a permanent basis.
Hill was born in Bristol, and his father, Matt Hill, used to play for Bristol City, Preston North End, and Sheffield United.
Hill joined Fleetwood in 2016 after playing for Blackpool and Bolton Wanderers. He is a strong central defender who can throw the ball far.
He signed a loan agreement with Heart of Midlothian in January 2023, staying with them through the end of the current campaign.
His first game for England’s U-21 team was a 5-0 win over Kosovo in a 2023 European Championship qualifying match played in June 2022.
