Connor Roberts is a Welsh defender who plays at right-back for Burnley. Born in Neath in September 1995 and raised in the village of Crynant, he joined Swansea City’s academy aged nine and rose through the ranks to make more than 150 senior appearances, with developmental loan spells at Yeovil Town, Bristol Rovers and Middlesbrough along the way. He moved to Burnley in August 2021 on a four-year deal and helped the Clarets storm to the Championship title in 2022/23, later spending the second half of the 2023/24 campaign on loan at Leeds United. An established Wales international with more than 60 caps, Roberts started every match at Euro 2020 and scored in the group-stage win over Turkey.
