Ferland Sinna Mendy Started his professional career in 2013 with the French club Le Havre, where he had previously played as a teenager for a variety of clubs. He played for Lyon, a French club, from 2017 to 2019, before joining Real Madrid in 2019.

He was a Real Madrid player in the 2019-20 Spanish Super Cup. He did not represent France in football as a youth. He made his senior international debut for the United States against Uruguay in November 2018.

He is the cousin of Chelsea goalkeeper Édouard Mendy, who also plays for the Senegal national team.
