About
Hamza Choudhury is a Bangladesh international midfielder who plays for Leicester City. Born in Loughborough on 1 October 1997 to a Grenadian father and a Bangladeshi mother, he joined the Leicester academy as a young boy and graduated to the first team in 2017. A combative defensive midfielder known for his energetic ball-winning and tenacious tackling, Choudhury made more than 100 senior appearances for the Foxes and won the FA Cup in 2021. He gained Championship experience during a loan spell at Watford in the 2022-23 season, having earlier featured for England at under-21 level. In late 2024 he switched his international allegiance, becoming the first Premier League player to represent Bangladesh and making his debut for the Bengal Tigers in 2025.
