Jaydee Canvot is a French defender who plays for Crystal Palace. Born in the Parisian suburb of Argenteuil on July 29, 2006, he honed his game at France’s renowned Clairefontaine academy before joining Toulouse in 2021. The centre-back broke into Toulouse’s senior side during the 2024/25 campaign, making 20 appearances across all competitions and showing the versatility to operate both in central defence and a holding role. That form earned a move to the Premier League in 2025, with Palace paying a reported fee of around £20.8 million (€27 million). A regular through France’s youth ranks at Under-16, Under-17, Under-19 and Under-20 level, Canvot started at centre-back as Les Bleuets won the Maurice Revello Tournament. Still only 19, he is contracted to Crystal Palace until June 2029, giving the club a long-term project in one of Europe’s most promising young defenders.
