Josko Gvardiol is a Croatian professional footballer who plays as a defender for Manchester City in the Premier League and for the Croatia national team. Despite being predominantly a center-back, he has frequently played as a left-back. Gvardiol is noted for his physicality and positioning, and his colleagues have dubbed him a great potential.

He made his professional debut for Dinamo Zagreb in 2019 and went on to win two league titles as well as the Croatian Cup. In 2021, he joined Bundesliga team RB Leipzig, where he won two DFB-Pokals before joining Manchester City for £77 million in 2023, making him the second most expensive defender in football history.

As a Croatian youth international, he made his senior debut in 2021 and went on to represent Croatia at UEFA Euro 2020 and the 2022 FIFA World Cup, where he helped his team finish third.
