Loris Sven Karius began his football career at Stuttgart before joining the Manchester City youth system in 2009.
After two years, he returned to Germany and joined Mainz 05, where he quickly rose to first-choice goalkeeper in the Bundesliga.
He was later signed by Liverpool in 2016 for a cost of £4.75 million. Karius appeared for Liverpool in the 2018 UEFA Champions League final, in which his club lost 3-1 to Real Madrid.
Loris Sven Karius spent time on loan with Beşiktaş and Union Berlin before joining Newcastle United in 2022.
