Vitinha, full name Vitor Machado Ferreira, was only 11 years old when he enrolled in his hometown club’s youth academy. Vitinha was born in the Porto suburb of Santo Tirso. He led Portugal to the U19 EURO final, was awarded Player of the Toulon Tournament, and assisted them in winning the UEFA Youth League in 2019.

He signed a five-year deal with Paris Saint-Germain after being named the Young Player of the Year in the Portuguese league, becoming the club’s first signing of the 2022/23 summer transfer window at the tender age of 22.
