Federico Santiago Valverde Dipetta, famously known as Valverde, plays as a central midfielder for La Liga club Real Madrid and the Uruguay national team.

Valverde spent the majority of his youth career with Pearol, where he swiftly established himself. He made his debut for Pearol in the first game of the 2015-16 season against Cerro.

In July 2016, he transferred from Pearol to Real Madrid and was assigned to the B team. He scored his first goal for Castilla against Albacete in December 2016. On October 23, 2018, Valverde made his Real Madrid debut against Viktoria Plze in the UEFA Champions League Group stage at the Bernabéu.
