Jamal Musiala is a professional footballer who plays as an attacking midfielder for Bundesliga club Bayern Munich and the Germany national team. He was born in Stuttgart, Germany, to a British-Nigerian father and a German mother of Polish roots.

Musiala spent most of his youth in England. He played for both German and English youth teams, including Chelsea and Southampton.

Musiala initially moved from Chelsea’s youth team to the FC Bayern youth set-up in the summer of 2019. After just a few months there, he was called up to the senior squad and, at the age of 17, progressed to become the youngest-ever Bundesliga debutant, Bundesliga goalscorer and Champions League goalscorer within just a few months.

At the international level, Musiala, who was also eligible to play for Nigeria, represented both England and Germany at various youth levels.

In February 2021, he pledged his allegiance to the Germany national senior team for future full international matches and, shortly afterwards, at the age of 18 years and 117 days, became the youngest international in DFB tournament history at EURO 2020.
