Joshua Walter Kimmich is a professional footballer who plays as a defensive midfielder for Bundesliga club Bayern Munich and the Germany national team. He was born in Rottweil, Germany.

At the age of 12, Kimmich left his hometown club VfB Bösingen to join the VfB Stuttgart academy. After six years, he left for RB Leipzig before moving to Bayern Munich in 2015. He won the double multiple times with FC Bayern as well as the treble in 2020.

At the international level, Kimmich has represented Germany at various levels, including at under-17, -18, -19 and -21 levels. He made his debut for the Germany national football team in 2016.
