Tarkowski signed a four-year contract with Premier League team Everton on July 2, 2022, after being released by Burnley.

Tarkowski made his debut for the club in a 1-0 loss to Chelsea in the Premier League at home on August 6, 2022.

He scored his first goal for Everton, a spectacular header from a corner, on February 4, 2023, when his team defeated league leader Arsenal 1-0 at Goodison Park.  During the 2022-23 Premier League season, he was the only outfield player to play all 3,420 minutes.
