Lewis Dunk, who joined the team in 2003, is a graduate of the Brighton and Hove Albion centre of excellence and scholarship programmes.

Since making his professional debut against MK Dons in the season’s final game in 2009–10, the club captain has played more than 400 times for the Seagulls.

That year, Dunk served as captain of the club’s youth team. He later made an impression on Albion’s reserve team and made eight extra first-team appearances in 2010–11.

In the 2021/22 season, Lewis captained Albion to the club’s highest-ever Premier League finish (ninth), and then he led the club to a sixth-place finish the next season, helping us qualify for European competition for the first time in the club’s history.

Due to his performance, Dunk was called up to the England team in June 2023 for games against North Macedonia and Malta.
